Created by Splashes of Hope artists - Friend on the Mend is a custom coloring book for pediatric patients in hospitals. Friend on the Mend tells the story of Alice the Elephant, whose trip to the hospital after a fall from her bike is greatly improved when her friend Vincent Van Monkey paints her a mural. The book depicts what children will see in the medical environment, for children to acclimate and feel comfortable.
His painting of Alice back on her bicycle reminds her of all that awaits her outside of the walls of the hospital.
