Children’s National Medical Center of Washington, DC has been “SPLASHED” following a heartwarming dedication ceremony at the Potomac Rotary Club.

Dr. John Sever and his family graciously accepted the legacy artwork to be permanently installed in the hospital for little patients to enjoy. The hot air balloon above depicts Dr. and Mrs. Sever in the basket commemorating the anniversary of Rotary International.

The murals were installed in the main hallway right off the Atrium of Children’s National Medical Center. This project is an expression of their sincere and heartfelt appreciation for Dr. Sever’s lifelong dedication to the care of children and his pioneering effort through Rotary towards the elimination of Polio from the world.
This project was made possible by funding from Rotary District 7620, and contributions from the following Rotary Clubs: Potomac, Carrol Creek, Bladensburg, Laurel, College Park and Potomac-Bethesda. Individual contributors were Dr. Mark Pitts, DGN Bill Fine, PDG Ray Streib, PDG Dick Angus, PDG Raj Saini, Asok Motayed and Ken Jordan.
