Splashes at UCP of Suffolk

From July 11-22, Splashes of Hope has a group of artists heading to Commack, where they will be painting the walls of the playroom at UCP of Suffolk’s Childrens Center! In this former school gymnasium, each of the four immense walls will represent one of the four seasons, including images of the school’s mascot, the Honey Bear.

The Mission of United Cerebral Palsy Association of Greater Suffolk is to Advance the Independence, Productivity, and Full Citizenship of People with Cerebral Palsy and other Disabilities.

The Children’s Center is in the forefront of Early Intervention, Preschool, and School Age programming, serving approximately 100 infants and children with disabilities annually. The Center is a designated MOVE (Mobility Opportunity Via Education) charter model site and boasts other specialty programs such as a feeding program – Food Exploration And Sensory Techniques (F.E.A.S.T.), and assistive technology services. The Children’s Center continues to introduce new and innovative programs designed to meet the needs of Long Island’s children and their families.
